Timothy James Graham is a professional drummer, arranger, and clinician living in the Twin-Cities area of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.|
Tim began his professional music career at the age of 17 when he was hired to play drums for the Medora Musical in the Historic Badlands of North Dakota. It was an affiliation that would last for the next 12 years.
Tim attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and earned a B.A. in Music Composition and Percussion. While there he performed with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra, the FM Civic Opera, and the Red River Dance Company. He also played drum tracks on a number of recordings for Audio Media Studios in Fargo.
Tim returned to the Medora Musical every summer during his college years, and took on the added role of conductor after his first year. After completing college, Tim became a staff arranger for the show and during the next five seasons wrote orchestrations for over 150 songs.
While working in Medora, Tim met his wife Janine (who was also a performer in the show). The two of them got married, started a family, and moved to the Twin Cities. Since then, Timís work in music has been primarily as a show drummer for Sheehan Entertainment, Troupe America, Knottís Camp Snoopy, and Mary Beth Carlson Orchestra, performing in concerts and shows all over the upper midwest.
Tim has also performed, written arrangements, and recorded extensively with a number of jazz artists and churches throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
