||"Sonata for Double Bass & Piano was written in 1989 by Dave Anderson. This is a three movement work for an advanced double bass player. It has become a classic work in the literature. The composer writes: "This was the first work commissioned by my good friend and colleague bassist Sidney King. He premiered it on an excellent recital that year at Indiana University SE. It is an advanced piece that stretches the entire bass register and also many mixed meter exchanges between the piano and bass." Also available as a PDF.
