||A choral piece with harp and chimes inspired by the painting of the
same name by Jean Francois Millet. The text is a combination of original reflections
by the composer to express the scene of the painting while the rest of the text is the
actual prayers of the Angelus and parts of the Ave Maria. The chimes and harp are to
represent the sound of the bells of the distant church in the painting sounding the evening Angelus. Therefore, when performed it may be effective to place the chimes away from the choir in a manor that could give them an “off in the distance” sound. The piece is approximately 5 minutes long. $2.00 per octavo.
