David Milne

David Milne is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. He earned Bachelor of Arts-Music and Master of Music-Woodwinds degrees at Indiana University, and completed a Doctor of Musical Arts-Saxophone degree at the Eastman School of Music. In addition to his experience at UW-River Falls, he has taught at the Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, UW-Indianhead Arts Center, and the MacPhail Center for the Arts.

Milne is a jazz and classical saxophonist and a woodwind specialist. He has performed with the the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra Pops with Doc Severinsen, the Rochester (NY) Philharmonic, Ray Charles, Lou Rawls, Jack McDuff, Johnny Mathis, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Rita Moreno, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Frankie Valli, the Four Tops, Ben Vereen, Smokey Robinson, the Radio City Music Hall Spectacular, and with numerous big bands and jazz ensembles. He has commissioned, performed, composed and recorded new music for saxophone quartet with the Ancia Quartet, and has performed and recorded with the renowned new music group, Zeitgeist.

Milne appears in workshops with arts schools, high schools and colleges in the US and Europe. He has been an annual guest artist and instructor at the Berlin Free Arts School in Berlin, Germany, and a guest artist at the Center for Arts and Education in Norfolk, England. David Milne is a Selmer Company clinician.
