David Singley

David Singley is an accomplished world-class jazz guitarist who resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He has shared the stage with such jazz figures as Bob Brookmeyer, George Shearing, Tal Farlow, James Moody, Arturo Sandoval, Buddy DeFranco, Les Elgart, Byron Stripling, and Jim Snidero. His work as a professional guitarist has also taken him across the United States appearing with Perry Como, Donny Osmond, Debbie Gibson, Mary Wells, Debbie Reynolds, and Shari Lewis & Lambchop. He has performed with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, and has appeared on National Public Radioís "A Prairie Home Companion". His playing has graced countless commercial jingles, and he has appeared on over a dozen jazz recordings produced in the Twin Cities. David is also currently a member of two of the finest jazz ensembles in the Upper Midwest: The JazzMN Big Band, and Zona, a progressive jazz guartet which also features David Milne on saxophone.

David Singley is Adjunct Instructor of Music at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he has a guitar studio and also directs the jazz ensemble and jazz combos. He holds a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
