Dr. Dale Taylor is a Board Certified Music Therapist, Professor Emeritus of the University of Wisconsin, member of the Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long Term Care, Cochair of the statewide task force that wrote the current state Public Health Plan entitled Healthiest Wisconsin 2010, a member of the American Music Therapy Associationís International Relations Committee, founder of the UWEC Music Therapy Degree program, past President of the NAMT Great Lakes Region, former Secretary-Treasurer of the International Arts Medicine Association; co-founder of the Wisconsin Chapter for Music Therapy, served over two decades on the NAMT and AMTA Assembly of Delegates, is published in the Journal of Music Therapy; Music Therapy Perspectives, former Editor of the International Journal of Arts Medicine, and is author and publisher of Biomedical Foundations of Music as Therapy. He performs with and is Advisor of the UWEC Gospel Choir, has appeared recently in Jesus Christ Superstar with the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild, in concert with the Valley Gospel Choir, and is composer-performer of a music CD entitled "Whispers of Life". Dr. Taylor is a frequent speaker at state, national and international conferences with recent appearances at the AMTA National Conference in Kansas City, at the Chippewa Valley Campus of Lakeland College, and with scheduled appearances in Texas, the Netherlands, and Argentina.

Dr. Taylor and his wife Jennifer live in Eau Claire, WI and are frequent competitors in sailboat racing with the Lake Wissota Yacht Club where he has served as Racing Chairman, Vice-Commodore, and Commodore. They also enjoy downhill and Nordic skiing as well as swing and ballroom dancing.
