Anthony Di Sanza, a recognized international performer and educator, has performed, presented master classes, and held residencies in North America, Europe and Asia. He has appeared as a visiting artist at over 35 colleges, universities and conservatories, and has performed in some of the world’s most important concert halls. Active in a wide variety of Western and non-Western percussive areas, Di Sanza can be heard on numerous CD recordings with various artists and ensembles, including; Sole Nero-Piano and Percussion Duo, Linda Maxey and the Galaxy Percussion Group, The Wisconsin Brass Quintet, Keiko Abe and the Michigan Chamber Players, the Brass Band of Battle Creek and the Reptile Palace Orchestra. Di Sanza will soon release his first solo CD, which features works for multiple percussion, marimba and darabukka, on the Equilibrium label.

Di Sanza has performed with numerous orchestras as timpanist or percussionist and currently serves as principal percussionist with the Madison Symphony Orchestra. He has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) on five separate occasions and regularly studies and performs music from Brazil and the Middle East. Di Sanza is regularly involved in the premiering of new works from a wide variety of composers, including; Akira Nishimura, Maki Ishii, Kaoru Wada, Nebojsa Zivkovic, Keiko Abe, Michael Udow, Dave Hollinden, Joseph Koykkar, Serra Hwang, Joel Nauman Jonas Tamulionis and Dennis Wilson. Also a composer, Di Sanza has works published with Alfred and HoneyRock.

Di Sanza earned the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Youngstown State University, and holds the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in percussion performance from the University of Michigan. His principle teachers include Michael Udow, Julie Spencer, Salvatore Rabbio, Joseph Parlink, Boca Rum and Abdulhamid Alwan. Currently Associate Professor of Percussion at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, he is an endorser of Sabian Cymbals, Black Swamp Percussion and Encore Mallets, as well as an educational endorser of Pro-Mark Drumsticks.
