Keith Karns is an Alaskan born trumpet player, composer and bandleader. Keith’s big band is an up and coming presence across the Midwest and its members are some of the most talented young musicians in the country. Keith has played with some of the finest musicians in jazz including Joel Harrison, Benny Golson, David Baker, Five By Design and Brent Wallarab. Keith has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and a Master’s Degree from Indiana University’s Jacob’s School of Music. He is a student of Robert Baca, John Harbaugh, David Baker and Brent Wallarab. Keith uses Torpedo Bags exclusively to transport and protect all of his trumpets.
