Involved in music education since 1979 in Great Britain (1979-95), Germany (1995-2005) and as freelance teacher back in Britain since 2005. Examiner (music composition and performance) for British Examination board and for international Baccalaureate since 1995. Inspector for Cambridge International Examiation Centres since 2004. Instrumental teacher (violin, viola, theory, composition) since 1976.
Compositional output ca. 170 pieces (choral output ca 40 pieces, rest is instrumental), ca. 115 performed. Performances so far in ca. 30 countries worldwide so far. Also (unofficial title) "house composer" of Freiburg Cathedral since 1985 (over 20 commissions). Conducted Youth Orchestra concerts (some televised) in Tallinn, Estonia, in early 1990s.
Member of IHS (International Horn Society), ESTA UK (European String Teachers’ Assn.), BHS (British Horn Society), PRS for Music (UK equivalent of ASCAP).
Currently a governor of Rednock School, Dursley, GB; musical director, Rednock String Orchestra.
