Sam Fettig

Sam Fettig has been teaching Middle School Band since 2000, and has been at Fort Atkinson Middle School (WI) since 2002. He earned his Bachelorís Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and his Masterís Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. He is a graduate of Fort Atkinson High School.

As a saxophonist, Fettig plays throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest in a variety of settings. His recording credits include Steve Wiest: "A Night In Pidruid" (Arabesque Label), Eric Jacobson: "Discover" (Holistic Musicworks Label), and Mike Standal: "Equilibrium". His performance credits include The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, The Maynard Ferguson Orchestra, Doc Severinsen, Johnny Mathis, Lou Rawls, and Bob Newhartís live stand-up show. He was invited to perform several times at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands and the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, as well as numerous other performances across Europe.

Sam Fettig currently resides in Fort Atkinson, WI with his wife and two sons. When he is not teaching and making music, youíre most likely to find him out fishing with his boys, or in a northwoods campsite with his family.
