Commissioned by and premiered at the 1st European Horn Workshop in Trossingen, Germany in 1980, this 9 1/2 minute work features a highly dramatic solo voice interacting with two quartets of horns. At first, the soloist is an intruder, soon a leader, eventually an outcast. This work utilizes numerous extended techniques and can be heard on Crystal Records CD670. |
