The 9-minute, three-movement miniature is a melodious and romantically conceived composition drawing on the musical styles of Brahms, Copland, Bernstein, Hindemith, and Vaughan Williams. The playful second movement, Pizzjazz, is in mixed meter with offbeat pizzicato rhythms. The final movement, Gloria, utilizes a powerful rhythm in mixed meter and is rich with romantic melodies.
