"Fortinbras March" by Dmitri Shostakovich is from the Hamlet Suite (op. 32). J.D. Morsch has very cleverly arranged the piece for percussion ensemble. The score calls for: Bells, Vibes, Chimes, 2 Xylos., 4 Marimbas, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, 3 Sus. Cymbals, Timpani, Piano and Bass. This is a very nice work that will challenge your students and delight your audience. |
