"Way Off Bass" by Jerry Becker is a laid back Shuffle that sounds a lot like a Basie Band chart. There’s a clever and challenging bass line and everyone in the band gets a chance to show their talent. Nice trombone counterpoint and a short trombone solo. Alto solo too. A couple of high D’s for lead trumpet. This is a happy chart. |
