"Weaver God" is a collection of 12 original songs for vocal solo and piano/guitar accompaniment. These work very well for Contemporary services. Accompanist must be able to read chord changes. Included in the collection are: 1) "Come Lord Jesus" based on Rev. 22:20 and can be used with drums during Advent; 2) "Blessed Are They" based on the Beatitudes; 3) "Cross of Compassion" written specifically for Lent. Can be used as a Communion piece ; 4) "Creator God" expresses the composer’s understanding of the Trinity; 5) "Follow the Old Road, But Take the New Path" was inspired by the writings of St. Angela Merici and Thomas Merton; 6) "Loving Shelter" is a responsory to express the longing for God...based a various Bible texts; 7) "Holy Ground" is based on Ex. 3:5 and Jos. 5:15 This piece can be used as a call to prayer; 8) "Love is Calling" is a song of morning praise; 9) "Wall of Jericho" was inspired from the text of Jos. 6 ; 10) Wine Poured Out" can be used as a Communion piece or meditation following Communion; 11) "Yahweh We Gather" can also be used as a Communion piece and is based on various Bible texts; 12) "Weaver God" is a gathering song for worship. This also works well as a prelude piece for weddings. |
