||"Eight-Hand Etude" by Carl Seale was written in 2005. This is a work scored for 2 Marimbas-four players. (Players 1 & 3 on one Marimba and players 2 & 4 on another Marimba) Written by an experienced educator/composer for student percussion players on the intermediate level. Very cleverly written as an exercise in counting. Only 82 measures long and at a tempo of quarter note = 120. Uses roll techniques, 3/4 time, limited range, challenging key signature...5 flats. This will be a real learning experience for your students. They’ll love it!
