This special edition is part of a newly released collection by Leonov titled "Selected Songs of the Russian Composers". This collection of Rachmaninov’s vocal music is relatively new to the U.S., although it is very popular in Russia. Rachmaninov’s songs are musical gems with a mastery of Russian poetic texts.
