||"Emmaís Funk" for Tuba/Euphonium Quartet was written in 2005 by Matt Lamb. The idea for this piece came to the composer after his 18 month old daughter Emma decided to start her day at 5 a.m. She didnít care that mom and dad still wanted to sleep another hour. It was playtime in her mind. She was in a funk. The bass riff stuck in Mattís head and the tune developed from there. It is available for tuba/euphonium quartet, saxophone quartet and jazz ensemble. It is in a blues/rock form and style. Great fun for all. Do not play at 5 a.m.
