||"Iím Into Something" for young jazz ensemble was written in 2005 by Frank Ferriano. These pieces are the first in a series of pieces that Frank would like to do for training younger jazz ensembles. In this case they are based on the chord progressions with some substitute chords of familiar standards. There are standard jazz articulations and figures throughout. There are solos that are written, but just as guide. The piano parts are fully written with standard jazz voicings with the chord cymbals. The 1st trumpet part rarely does not go above G. (trombones -F) Iím Getting Into Something is based on Out Of Nowhere. It is marked medium slow swing and can be played at various speeds depending on the ability of the ensemble.
