"Fantasyfare (For Brass and Timpani) was written by Curt Wilson in 2008. It is scored for: 4 horns; 5 Trumpets; 3 Troms.; 2 Euph.; 2 Tubas and Timpani. A five-minute piece for wind ensemble brass section and timpani. Very lyrical and tonal in nature. This work is an adaptation of the fanfare portion of “FANFARE, FUGUE, and FINALE” for symphony orchestra commissioned by Texas Christian University in 1998 for the inauguration of Dr. Michael Ferrari as chancellor of TCU. |
