| Description |
"5 Etudes For Electric Bass, Op. 1" were written in 2010 by Pablo Elorza. Pablo is Argentina’s answer to Jaco Pastorius. He is an accomplished performer and now a composer of distinction. These etudes can be sent as PDF files. Please state your preference.
The composer writes: These are 5 compositions for the Electric Bass in the style of classical etudes for the instrument.
Each one represents a different musical and technique challenge, usually found on etudes for other instruments like Violin, guitar, piano, etc.
They are not adaptations or variations of other musical pieces. This are original compositions writen "from" and with the language of the Electric Bass.
They follow the technique development that I suggested in my Bass Book "El Cuerdita / The Little String" and might be considered as the next step of the
technique chapter.
“5 Etudes for Electric Bass” were writen to solve technique issues over passajes that I believe important to the general technique of the electric bassist.
They will help the intermediate or advance student to develop and consolidate fingers technique and a more open and projectable sound.
They were composed for the standard electric bass range (4 strings -20 frets); but they can be played too on a wide range instrument (22/24 frets – 5/6 strings).-
