"March for Bud" was written by Jim Pekol for young Concert Band/Marching Band. It was written to provide access to the 6/8 military-style march to intermediate musicians. The form for "March for Bud" is the standard 1st strain-2nd strain-Trio with a repeat of the Trio after an 8 measure "dogfight". The parts are accessible to all levels of proficiency within each section, with the 1st chair parts being the most challenging. The low brass parts are interesting, yet playable for musicians at this level, and the percussion parts are stylistically correct. Parts are flip folder size. |
